High Resolution Forecast
Brought to you by the CSAG and the Wind Atlas for South Africa project.
This site provides a 24-48 hour forecast at a high resolution (22.5 km) over South Africa and higher resolutions over the Western and Eastern Cape (7.5 km and 2.5km).
Important:
1. This is a very graphics intensive site where the images are 50Kb to 200Kb big and the movies these are about 3Mb big.
We have therefore provided this front page as a landing site so you can navigate to your preferred variables and time scales based on your bandwidth capabilities.
2. We are still limited by UCT bandwidth policies so if you download the bigger files we have no way of knowing how quickly they may get to you.
3. Please click here for more information about the forecast, how it is made and why only the Western and Eastern Cape have very high resolution forecasts.
