Ski Trip 2004
Where we Skied:
Switzerland. We stayed in a place called Lauterbrunnen and skied in
Manlichen, Kleine Shiedegg.

This is where we lived, a chalet whose name I can't remember, four boys
(smelly) in a room, with the window
wide open despite sub-zero temps....

And this was the view form our permanently open window of the ski hut
and beyond....and Jerry

Hop on a bus, to the train station, board the train and off to Wengen
where we catch a gondilla to Manlichen. Photos are of trains, gondillas
and views along the way...

Looking down at Jungfrau on the way to Wengen...

Wengen looking back from the Gondilla on the way to Manlichen

The gondilla....

View from the gondilla station at Manlichen....

For 2 days we had sun, then it snowed overnight......

....made for spectacular scenes...looking back to Lauterbrunen from the
train....

A run at Kleine Sheidigg viewed from the train....

The Eiger...

A comfortable blue run through the forests....

That takes you down a the Resturant at the not-quite-end of the
Galaxy...

Then it snowed for the next four days, visibility of between 40-100
meters, no depth perception and beautiful powder to land in...but first
a picture of us ....

The streets of Wengen

Wengen from the Gondilla again....

Last pics are of the World downhill Champs (black) run. We did it in
about 20 minutes, the racers do it in 2minutes 30seconds! The pics are
of two steep sections the pros would jump.....note the netting....

Lean into the slope....into the slope.....

At the end of the run, thousands of spectators would be where the
photo-taker was standing as the pros jumped this last section...

So....anyone want to give me more money so I can go skiing again...?
